Trumeau with Lady and Gentleman
Known in France as a 'Trumeau', this is a panel formed of a framed oil painting (at the top) and a mirrored section (at the base), also framed.
Originally created and designed to fit above or to either side of interior architectural features, such as fireplaces or panelling, this one is 19th century and in good condition all round. It depicts a lady and gentleman punting on a very beautiful lake, prior to their repast.
Canvas, mirror and frame are all in good condtion.
